Wethersfield is a large rural site with a runway that can be used subject to CAA approval. The site has a number of Dutch Barns and bomb-dump bunkers as well as sports pitches, a chapel, restaurant block, various single-storey buildings including nissen huts, lecture theatres, classrooms, gymnasium, sports hall, married quarters accommodation and some modern buildings. The site is surrounded by a large expanse of grass.
