RAF Scampton was the base for the World War 2 Dambuster raids and is now home to the Red Arrows display team. The site has a number of accommodation blocks, Officers Mess, barrack blocks – many with the original wartime camouflage still visible. There are a number of hangars on site including the original 617 Dambusters hangar. A heritage centre and museum are attached to the site.
