RAF Cranwell

Description

RAF Cranwell is a RAF Training College built in the 1930s in the style of Wren with a mix of modern and dated accommodation, large grass airfield, a wartime and modern Officers Mess, a large range of sports facilities including playing fields with spectator stands, small golf course, riding stables, horse jumps, modern astroturf pitches, rugby and cricket pitches and a modern pavilion. There are extensive training facilities particularly in the surrounding woodland, including an assault course.
